As you are celebrating today just take a minute to remember why today is a holiday and who we are memorializing. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all who have paid the ultimate price for my freedom.

Mr Bambi and I discussed the same thing last night. A day off and BBQing is great and all, but if we don't remember the people who sacrificed for us then it doesn't really mean much.
I loved seeing all the flags out yesterday -- I wish I were smart enough to have grabbed a couple photos.
