Goodbye

Today is the final game at Yankee Stadium. I will be there and will be sad to see it go. I am going with my dad who took me to my first Yankees game 23 years ago. I have so many great memories of this stadium. Today's game may top them all.

I'm glad I had the chance to go to a Yankees game in the real stadium, the history of the place is so surreal...say goodbye for the rest of us fans!

I'd imagine many fathers and sons today.
Be tough, don't cry, time has to march on! LOL

My son got choked up talking about all the games I took him to there. We met the Goose.Dave Winfied hit a ball that landed in Jeff's soda!!

We always got there as soon as the doors opened. We talked to Reggie and he break danced for us. Guidry explained why he never changed caps and on and on and on!!

And I met Mickey Mantle the very first time I even went there.

Sigh

thank you Mt. Cat for giving me a place to share.

Hope you had a great day!

Yes, I did think about you yesterday and wondered how all you Yankee fans were feeling. Must be very sad.

I am sorry that you are having to say good bye to a place that holds lots of memories for you and your dad, but I am glad that you are making a new one with him today. Saying good bye together is actually pretty cool Mt. Cat. And the Yankees are Eternal!

You guys are having some serious slack time.
That's OK though, we all know you need to recharge every once in awhile.
Hope everything is OK with you YJKOBT guys!
