Hide Your Women and Children

PHOENIX -- A rabid mountain lion like the one pictured attacked a 10-year-old boy north of Phoenix on Saturday, before being shot to death by a family member, said Randy Babb of the Arizona Department Game and Fish.
The boy was lucky to have suffered only minor scratches to his back, said Babb.
The incident occurred in the Tonto National Forest in an area called Sheep Bridge in the extreme southeast corner of Yavapai County.
"One of the adults shot the animal and transported it back to their residence," Babb said.
The mountain lion was then submitted to the Arizona State Health Laboratory for testing. The boy and several others who may have been exposed to the cat will undergo preventative rabies treatment over the next few weeks, Babb said.

Moral of the story is Be careful folks... Mt. Cats are dangerous when they are on the prowl !!

Especially if they have rabies. That's just shaving cream right Mt Cat?

I also heard that rabid Mt. cats also refuse to give their firends mix tapes back... but that might just be a nasty rumor.

You know what's sad? Modern television and movies has made me associate rabies with zombies. My first mental image was of that Mt. cat jumping on the boy and meowing, "Brainnnns."

I thought in general the Mountain Cats attacked hot ladies. But maybe they prefer 10 year old boys???

We deserve some clarification, no?

I am with ya Karen... we need some answers!

Doc, I was fooling around on the 'puter last night making a "heads up" for YKOBT Peach Fest May 20th 2008 Noon EST plug plug. I made a t-shirt one and then one on a peach. Obviously I didn't post them, just playing around.

I think it is safe to say that THE Mt Cat chases hot ladies and not little boys or he wouldn't be an us people would he. It is safe to say that right Mt Cat?

Lu' said...

Your wife will love that, NOT. The I-pod, I thought that was just for music. Computer experts, what hand held devise can we use for internet access away from the house? Is that a palm pilot? I don't even know seriously.

Ken said...

Easy Doc, my fingers are way to fat anyway! I was just kidding and there are people out there from my past that would instantly drop dead if they knew that I bought one! LOL

Ken said...

Lu you can go galaxy hopping with an I-pod, really. LOL

Why Doc, wont they play Yo Gabba Gabba?

Doc said...

Oh I forgot to tell ya'll that Yo Gabba Gabba had Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland on it the other day... That chic can sing! Listen to "Who says you can't go home" by Bon Jovi with her and Jon singing. Good stuff

Karen said...

I still don't know what this Yo Gabba thingy is, but I love Sugarland.

I am going to have google Yo Gabba so that I can be in on the joke.

Karen when I googled it, I looked up the party in my tummy as Doc suggested. If you choose that one, take some Pepto first LOL.

An I-touch is bigger than an I-pod and you can surf the net, get and send emails, AND blog...as well as play music and watch vids. Wayyy cool! It's what I want for my next toy.

FYI--my b-day is 2 weeks from today for anyone who cares. Yes, I make a big deal out of my birthday!

Doc said...

Karen... Yo Gabba Gabba is a kids show on Nick Jr. where a hip hop DJ has mythical creatures inside his boom box who come to life and teach kids lessons by dancing and singing to hop hop type tunes... A weekly is Biz MArkee teaching kids how to beat box. Guest dancers are also on there.. Thats what Jennifer Nettles was doing.

The bit they are most famous for is the 'Party in my tummy'...(so yummy so yummy) where the carrots and green beans are sad that they werent invited. LOL!

Yo Gabba, I just this minute finished the bookshelves for my wife.
Now I must hurry to some concrete resurfacing on the patiyoyo.

Karen - I don't think most of us know what the heck Yo Gabba Gabba is!

Karen said...

I googled it and I was going to comment that Biz on a children's show is an interesting concept.

I am going to Tivo an episode so I can really get into the vibe.

Doc said...

If you Tivo it you will get the full feeling!

I can understand the cat attacking the 10 year old like that. 10 year olds can be REALLY annoying.

AaaaPie how does the I-touch work as far as being able to access the internet? Who is the provider? My bithday is in 3 weeks and I've been thinking of telling my hubby to get me something like that. I want to be able to use the internet/blog when we are away in the motor home for trap shoots.

Acrimony said...

Yay for Arizona's gun laws allowing that family to actually HAVE a gun to shoot the thing.

As American as Apple Pie said...

Lu--you can get a wireless card or use it with your laptop. It will also pick up Wi-Fi.

The one I'm looking at isn't exactly an I-touch but is a "SmartPhone" through Alltel. There are several brands. Alltel is the provider. I don't know how it works for other carriers. I would imagine th same or similar
