Oh and can anyone explain to me why people have such a problem with gay people in the military?

I can dig it. Damn right Doc. Cheers!!
Having a best friend that is gay I have been well educated on the gay thing. Usually when someone is strongly anti-gay, they are insecure about their own sexuality. And may even be gay themselves, on the down low of course.
Case in point the most recent pastors and politicians who have been know for being anti- gay have now all been revealed to be dabbling in gay activities.
My friend always told me that whenever someone portrays to hate gays, he can sleep with them. He has proven it time and time again.
Yes, he was a bit of a ho but he taught me lots.
Love is so hard to find that if you can find it cherish it. I don't care if it is man/woman, man/man, woman/woman.
I've met two different lesbian couples and they have adopted kids no one else really wanted. All three boys had behavorial issues before meeting their mommies. I respect them for that.
I've often heard what you hate most about other you will find within yourself.

Does that mean that I secretly want to be a racist??? I doubt it. LOL
Doc has it right.
The reason people fear gay people in the military is they are afraid they are gay or are and are playing straight.
Love the sign...why is there a problem with gays in the military? I think is it a fear that soldiers will bunk together in the filed...etc etc...dumb reasons!
I also think there is a lot of ignorance. It's like a man not liking gays because he's fearful of a gay guy hitting on him. Does he hit on every woman he sees?
I don't think anybody is 100% free of racism (and I'm not just talking about black/white). We have a bit of racism in us if we've ever believed in a stereotype even if it is a positive one. Ever laughed a joke that involved culturual differences (remember the red neck jokes).
Grrrr ...
I love it when the 99% of people who have never been in the military want to tell you why that 1% who serves has a problem.
I could try to explain, but it honestly is difficult to understand if you've never been in that environment.
And before anyone gets their panties (or boxers) in a bunch, just because I understand the argument doesn't mean I support it ... although at one time I did!
