After the Beatles broke up in 1969, what group did George Harrison say ‘continued the spirit of the Beatles’?
Hint: It is slightly a trick question but think of a ‘group’ that was big in England at that time.
I am afraid of giving more of a hint or else I might give it away….
And don’t look up the answer!!! No cheating!!!
Happy Monday.

I am 90% sure I know the answer and I don't think it is a musical group. I don't want be the first comment and blow away a full day of conversation with my superior trivia knowledge.
I'm 90% sure I DON'T know the name of this group.
hmmm I really know that I don't know it!!! LOL!!!
The Hari Krishna? ha ha ha
Wow! No one?
I know Karen knows this.
I bet ya Anndi will know too. Where you at Anndi?
Actually my guess would be the Hare Krishna. Lennon and Harrison were heavily involved in promotion of the movement at the time.
BADFINGER?
DURAN DURAN (LATER)
I thought I knew my Beatles trivia but this has me up a stump...please to divulge your sources when illuminating us...
Wow Cousin Pat doesn't even know it!
Karen has already guessed right as she told me on the side. But I won't give the answer yet as I want to keep everyone in suspense...as I obviously am...LOL
I'm dying to know!
Should I give the answer now?
Karen? Are you still around?
Anndi?
AAAAP?
Doc, where the hell have you been hiding??
Not a bloody clue mate !!
The Spice Girls?
Monty Python?
Sorry, the trivia part of my brain is fried...
THE ANSWER IS MONTY PYTHON!!
Below is from the 'net:
The group's influence on comedy has often been compared to The Beatles' influence on music,a self-contained comedy team responsible for both writing and performing their work and changing the way performers entertained audiences. The Pythons' creative control allowed them to experiment with form and content, discarding the established rules of television comedy and breaking new ground for those who came after (George Harrison, who became friends with several members of the cast, said that he regarded Monty Python as 'continuing the spirit' of The Beatles). Their influence on British comedy of all kinds has been apparent for many years, while in America it has coloured the work of many cult performers from the early editions of Saturday Night Live through to more recent absurdist trends in television comedy.
ha! under the wire!
Yeah! I came back just in time to see that Anndi got it. Good job!
But Karen was the quickest. Karen, I guess I owe you a Lion award. LOL. Do you want a Lion Candy Bar?
Such is the price I have to pay for working... But you were right, I did know. ;)
Congrats Karen!
Damn, I knew this one, too. His film company produced "Life of Brian."
I had no idea! What does Monty Python really have in common with the Beatles though (apart from the obvious of being British)?
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
