Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone !!
To pay homage to this minor holiday this weeks poll will be what is your least favorite minor holiday of the year. I came up with a few but omitted Valentines Day because it's not even a real holiday... take a second to vote in the poll if you like and of course thanks to everyone who voted last week, of course Brittney Spears was the overwhelming choice as the biggest train wreck.

Ummm ... being the veteran that I am, I can't believe you actually listed Veteran's Day as a "minor" holiday!! The same goes for Flag Day ... shame on you Doc!!
I listed the ones that my work doesn't give me off... Thats the only reason. My work lists the others as the "major holidays" I certainly am not trying to slight veterans...
I'm just giving you a hard time - unfortunately I realize some of our National Holidays are "lost" in the demands of business. I know you'd never try to *slight* me, but only because you know there would be a penalty involved *snicker*
I don't even know when Arbor Day is...and I certainly don't have the day off!

What about Boxing Day????
Oh and Doc, I am giving in this year. I have a blinking green clover on my jacket and a green shirt on it. If I can't beat them, drink with them.
It's a toss up between Flag and Arbor for me because I don't really understand why we have them AND I don't get the day off. Today I am celebrating my Irish heritage by going to work and wearing all black.
Vin... I have a green "E" shirt on. Kind of like I do most days. Oh and Boxing Day is a Canadian holiday dude.
I have to go with President's day. Being a mother I loathe any holidays that my kids are off from school but I'm not! It makes for daycare hell!
See, that's the reason I like President's Day...the office is closed!!

I like all the holidays that I get off from work. Veterans, Flag, Presidents, Columbus. All fine by me.
I voted for Mother's Day becuase it is a sad, sad day for people who (especially kids) who have lost a mother. A lot of hoopla reminding you that your mom is dead and other kid's mom's are not is just not nice.
Maybe I would feel differently if I was a mom, but for now - that gets my vote. (Sorry to all you mom's out there. You do rock and deserve to be honored every single day. Not just once a year.)
Ya'll ought to see how my wife dressed the boy today... He looks like a walking (sorta walking) shamrock...
At least someone in your family is paying homage to your heritage.
you should have posted your son's cute face instead of this dorky clover pic. 6.5 hours until i can have a beer. Oh Vay!
OK OK I have on my "Shamrock V" hat.
The yacht "Shamrock V" was Sir Thomas Liptons entry into the 1930 Americas Cup Challenge. I was involved in the refit at Falmouth, England in 2000. It was just a $9,000,000.00 upgrade.
The hat is green!
St Paddy's is a holiday, an official one, in one Canadian province... unfortunately, not mine.
Slainte!
My daughter was born on President's Day. It has been more special to me ever since.
