This morning my Black & Decker coffee maker started to bubble over the top. I tried to open the lid and it spit at me! A large glob - part water, part coffee grinds - came shooting out of the flip top and landed on my white tee sheet. It burnt my navel. The wet grinds bubbled over like hot magma and dripped all over all my floor. AHHH!! What a mess! Calgon take me away!I promptly unplugged the damn thing, cleaned up the mess & residue and changed my clothes. Tonight I will murder the bloody appliance and go directly to a PC Richard's tomorrow and buy a new one. I cannot have any more trauma in my life! Least of all concerning my favorite morning beverage!

My favorite morning beverage almost always spits at me! *evil grin*
And people always ask me why I take the extra time to stop at Starbucks or Dunkin' Dounts in the morning. I refuse to get in to a spitting contest with my coffee maker in the morning.
MtCat-My condolences on the loss of your favorite appliance. Try Gevalia, it perks directly into a carafe so you can take it with you and stays hot for HOURS!!! Plus, you can get a great deal on coffee from them...simply the best!

I've switched over to Green Tea in the morning. You gotta get passed the headaches that come with the withdrawal - but lately I've been feeling great!
Man.... That Dr. Pepper I opened up to drink this morning didn't scare, burn, bubble, spit, slosh, glob, imitate magma, or cause any of the other trauma this coffee spitter thingy did to you this morning. The Dr. Pepper was easy and delicious!
Reason # 63547 not to drink coffee...
