Lettuce Wait on the Line, Please?

Around the corner from my office on Madison Avenue is a salad place called Chop't. Now Chop't makes 'specialty gourmet’ salads. Every kind of salad you want or imaginable, Chop't can make for you. And they charge for the extra ingredients. So if you get a big salad with say croutons, peas and carrots with bleu cheese, it will cost about $11.00. Now normally I would shrug this off and say 'That's New York prices for you'. But the thing that sickens me is that at about 12:30 pm every day there is a very long line out the door of people waiting for A SALAD! Even in cold weather! I pass by them everyday and I do not know how I hold back my tongue.
I want to yell at these preppies on line:
'IT'S A SALAD!!!! THE LINE IS TOO LONG FOR A FRIKIN' SALAD!!! GET A LIFE WOULD YOU PLEASE! YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE FOR WORK FOR A GODDAMN SALAD!!'
Am I missing something here? How could a salad be improved upon anymore to make Chop't Salads the salad to end all salads??
Goes to show you that with good advertising, people will fall for anything. I am just bewitched, bothered and bewildered.

Jahooni, Maybe if it one of those famous fish taco salads from San Diego!? Is Roberto's the name of the restaurant chain?

hymn... I am not a "San Diegoian"... so I haven't heard of that. Do they have Panera Bread in NY? That is a place that serves over priced salads here.

Yes. Panera bread is soooo good. There is one near me in Hoboken.
