UPDATE - Fantasy Football teams have drafted.

For all of those in the fantasy football league go and take a look at your team. The league drafted overnight and so the season can officially start now.

As far as my team is concerned I can tell already that I am going to to want to work a trade or two or my team will be in trouble...

Fantasy Football update!

As I am still trying to get caught up at work I wanted to remind everyone in the blog and twitter league to go in and make sure they have their pre-ranking of their players done. This is key to making sure you get players that you want and maybe more importantly NOT getting players you don't want. The draft is still over a week and a half away but it never hurts to be prepared. Drop me an email or comment with any questions and yes I promise that YJKOBT will return when I get time to make a proper post.

NFL Football Pick Em

For all you guys and gals out there in blog and Twitter world who love NFL Football I have a new free online game for you to play against your friends.

Yahoo NFL Pick em is now available and I have created a league. Easy enough to play. You just have to pick the winner of NFL games. (No point spreads or anything - just the winner)

Fantasy Football is open!

Doc's Blog and Twitter Fantasy Football league is open! I emailed the people whose email addresses I had saved in my yahoo mail the information but there are others whose information I don't have. Please send me an email to docnolz at yahoo dot com or DM me on Twitter if you have interest in joining.

Here are the particulars:

FREE to join and play including live real time scoring updates
12-14 teams depending on interest
Head to Head Play
2 Divisions
6 teams make the playoffs with the division winners getting a bye week.
The draft takes place offline so you will simply have to rank your players.
The Champion not only gets bragging rights but also gets a really sweet trophy for their blog.

Comment or email me any questions and of course if you want in I need your email address. Go ahead and sign up if you got one of the invites and do your research and pre-rank your players. The draft will take place late in August.

It's coming... Fantasy Football

I know it's not even quite July yet but I wanted to gauge the feelings of blog readers on fantasy football for this fall.
It's fun, free, and easy to play. I am looking to set up a league for all my blog and twitter friends to play in. I haven't decided yet yet which platform to use but it will probably be either yahoo or CBSSportsline.
The league can have as few as 8 or as many as 20 teams to play so there is plenty of room for all. Our league will be set up to auto draft which means that you will rank your favorite players and the site will pick them for you so we do not all have to be online at the same time. The league format will be Head to head which means that each week you will play against a specific opponent instead of the whole league. Depending on the number of teams we will look at divisions and playoff format to determine the champion. You will be able to set your lineup ahead of time so playing will not take up a lot of your time. however it will be fun. (Yes, Dana and Kimmeh I said fun and not too serious)
