Weekly Poll - 3/3

Happy Monday everyone! Thank you to everyone who voted in last weeks poll as we learned that overwhelmingly the readers of this blog prefer the Grammy's as their favorite awards show. (I still want to know who voted for the Tony's)

This weeks poll comes to us as a suggestion from my buddy the Mt. Cat. He wants to poll who you think is/was the funniest television neighbor? There are several choices up there to pick from and of course feel free to discuss your choice as well. I bet we missed a few in the poll so let us know.

For It Is Decreed From Up On High

A gallop poll recently found out that of the 54% surveyed, only 41% believe that 72% of the remaining 59% did not completely answer the survey correctly in 12% of the cases. However, the other 88% were only 91% completed and 9% were 12% shy of 99%. Although this survey is only 54% accurate in Ohio and 39% in the rest of the country. Give or take 5 to 7% in the Midwest as a margin or error. New surveys will be completed soon to get more accurate readings.

Weekly Poll 2/25

After a one week absence the weekly poll returns this week. Nothing really controversial, but I figured that with the Oscars being last night we could ask who your favorite awards show is. Please take a moment to cast your vote and may the best show win!

If you like something not on the list then just vote "other" and post what it is in a comment.

New Poll 2/11

Thanks to everyone who voted in last weeks poll... It looks like our gut tells us that Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States by a very slim margin over John McCain. Only time will tell but that sounds like a pretty accurate scenario as I look at it today.
This week we are back to food! Who makes the best fast food burger? McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, or Hardees/Carls Jr. ? What do you think. Please let us know. Vote for your favorite and we will crown a winner. Voting ends Sunday at midnight.

New Poll 2/4

Well last week we learned that Dunkin' Donuts coffee is preferred by over 60 percent of the readers of this blog over that caffinated sludge that is Starbucks coffee. Thank you to everyone who voted... This week we are going to go back to the political arena. With "Super Tuesday" where tons of primaries will help decide who is the nominee for each party being tomorrow I figured a good political question is in order. This isn't the run of the mill poll where we ask who you want to win the White House. This poll asks who does your gut tell you will win the White House this fall? Please feel free to discuss but leave the voting to who you think WILL win and not who you want to win. Voting runs through midnight Sunday. Should be interesting.

New Poll 1/28

Good Monday to everyone and as usual we have a new poll to vote in this week. Last week we were able to solve the Global Warming debate because a whopping 70% of voters agreed that global warming was possible and not a hoax. Thank you to everyone who voted.

This week we delve into the world of chain coffee stores. I heard last week that there is vicious war going on between two of these chains Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts. A sort of no holds barred loser leave town caffeine fueled conflict that has gotten down right nasty between the loyal drinkers of that sludge known as coffee. We will attempt to solve this war this week right here on our blog. For the sake of the readers we are also going to include Caribou Coffee so there is a third option.

Vote for which you prefer and any debate on the subject is of course welcome. Voting ends Sunday at midnight.

New Poll 1/21/08

First of all congrats to Soda for dominating the vote from last weeks poll with over 52% of the vote. Soda easily outdistanced Pop in a somewhat surprising vote. Thanks to all who voted.

Thank you also for all the good suggestions in comments and by e-mail for a poll this week. After taking a look at all of them I decided that the poll for this week should come from something that AbsolutGator had me post in response to Grape Nutz' Ask Doc and the Mt. Cat question. It seems that Absolut took issue with Nutz' stance that global warming may exist. There seems to be some bit of controversy surrounding this issue so what better idea for the next poll question?

What do you think about global warming? Please vote on the right hand side of the page for one of the 3 options available. Global warming may be possible, global warming is a hoax, or I don't care screw the environment.

Let's see if this generates a few votes....

New Poll 1/14/08 - Cola Wars

Thanks to everyone who voted in last weeks poll. (which is archived down the right hand side of the page) Subway Oil and Vinegar posed a huge challenge to Arby's Horsey Sauce however Horsey won in the end due not only to it's deliciousness but also to it's huge fan following. Taco Bell Mild Sauce finished a distant third. Therefore Arby's horsey Sauce shall here by be referred to as "World's Best Condiment" Thank you to those who got up and clicked it to victory and in the process making Oil and Vinegar seem more like Oil and water. But I digress.

This week I expect an equally epic battle. Last week taste buds were the determining factor but this week I feel that the vote will fall along geographical lines. It's The Cola Wars !! The poll this week is What do you call those carbonated beverages that we all drink? Soda, Pop, Soft Drink, coke (generic term), Cola, or Other. Let the debate and the war wage and may the best term with the most support win. If you have an "other" please post it here. Voting begins now and runs through Midnight Sunday night.

Bottoms up !

Polls !

In this the year of the never ending Presidential election we thought that we would bring you our own series of weekly polls. You will find them up in the upper right hand corner of the blog and we will also introduce each with a post. Some will be serious but most will be lighthearted and fun. Please vote and feel free to make any comments you would like.

The first of these polls has to do with a guy who was resurrected to many of us in 2007 due to the success of his daughter. It's about that country music legend in his own mind Billy Ray Cyrus. So we wanted to know what you consider to be his biggest contribution to popular culture:

The Sweet Mullet:

The Achy Breaky Song or Dance:

Daughter Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana:

So please vote in the poll and give us your feedback on good ole Billy Ray.
